STUDIO ENROLLMENT

Step 1

Yay! I'm delighted you are considering to be in my studio. This is a momental step on your journey becoming a young artist.

Step 2

Before applying, please read this page carefully!

TEACHING CALENDAR

I teach euphonium, trombone and tuba year-long. I teach 30-minute and hour lessons once a week. Students retain a good amount of information with weekly lessons. Lessons are available during the weekdays. If you choose to do a weekend lesson, please plan accordingly. A lesson can be excused for a holiday if the parent/guardian or student over the age of 18 gives a notice before the first of the calendar month. Students are welcome to postpone for the summer and come back the following August.

COMMITMENT

SPONSORED LESSONS

Being in my studio is a year-long commitment. Students need to be engaged at all times during the lessons. I promise to do my best to provide a high-quality education for my students. For the students who are attending school, we will work mostly on school assignments, solo and ensemble contests and other school-related materials. Fundamentals will be the first thing we will work in lessons. After that, we will work on solos, etudes and even popular music like soundtracks from Star Wars or Frozen. Nothing is limited in the studio, so please feel free to suggest any music.

If you are taking sponsored lessons, you will only be committed to the given time period. Lessons will be a half hour long once a week. Sponsored lessons are not a year-long commitment and students have the option to opt out if they choose to discontinue the sponsored lessons. I highly encourage students to take this opportunity when it's available. Schools and donors are the main reasons why these lessons are available. Most donors are fanatics about the arts and enjoy giving students the chance of playing music and improving their skills. It will be given out on a first come first serve basis. Contact me for available sponsored lessons.

MAKEUP LESSONS

  • If I’m unable to teach the lesson, I will give you more than 24 hours notice. A makeup lesson will be scheduled within the week.

  • A notice over 24 hours should be given if a student is planning to miss a lesson. We will schedule a makeup lesson within the week.

CANCELLATIONS

  • If the student gives less than a 24 hours notice, the lesson will be forfeited and no makeup lesson will be scheduled. No exceptions.

  • There are no refunds.

  • Emergency cancellations will be dealt with on a case on case basis and are at the discretion of the lesson teacher. Sudden illness, natural disasters or death of a loved one falls under the category of an emergency cancellation. Other cases can be included and will be reviewed by the teacher.

  • A lesson can be excused for a holiday if the parent/guardian or student over the age of 18 gives a notice before the first of the calendar month.

  • If a parent/guardian or a student over the age of 18 want to discontinued lessons, please give me a 30-day notice.
